onEvidence is a multidisciplinary research, evidence based training, education and safeguarding consultancy.
We work together to design and produce qualitative and quantitative social research, training and learning solutions, and safeguarding consulting that we are proud of.
Our clients are public, private and 3rd sector organisations and institutions. These include businesses, education professionals and trainers, universities and schools, the police, charities and NGOs, and government departments.
Who we are
Our founder, Dr. Roxanne Khan is a prolific researcher and educator with over 20 years’ experience. She teaches university students and professionals up to the level of PhD – valuable research-informed teaching that equips her learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to progress in their chosen professional careers. Her students go on to work for the police, prison service, probation service, social services, and in academia.
She established onEvidence in response to feedback from practitioners and academics.
The police, social workers, and other practitioners, told her that there was a pressing need for better quality professional training and CPD. That in order to be sustainable, training needed to be based on evidence rather than opinion. And that the training should be informed by practitioners and experts-by-experience. We couldn’t agree more.
Academics were concerned that important research projects were being passed over due to university overheads, which simply couldn’t be met by smaller charities and institutions. This meant that a lot of potentially valuable research never got beyond planning. Which is a shame.
Dr. Khan got together with her large network of practitioners and academic researchers, and decided that the time had come to address these two gaps in services. onEvidence was born.
