I formed onEvidence in response to growing feedback from practitioners, policy makers and front-line professionals about the need for evidence based training to inform practice.”

About me

I’m Dr. Roxanne Khan, a Chartered Psychologist and Research Scientist with 20 years experience in the education sector. I author books, journal articles, and conference presentations for international audiences. I am a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for BSc Honours Forensic Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire.

Research informed teaching is my passion. As a prolific aggression researcher, I have maintained a long-standing interest in many aspects of family and community violence and safeguarding, and enjoy sharing my knowledge with students and professionals through lectures and training, workshops, seminars, conferences and a private consultancy portfolio.

In 2018 I formed the Honour Abuse Research Matrix, a multi-disciplinary network of academics, police, safeguarding practitioners, survivors, policy makers and specialist trainers dedicated to eradicating harmful practices, including honour violence and other forms of domestic abuse.

I provide specialised training for the police, social services and safeguarding professionals, as well as a research and education consultancy service.

I am Academic Partner for Lancashire Partnership Against Domestic Abuse Рa multi-agency steering group based at Lancashire Constabulary Headquarters. I am also Expert Advisor and Research Ethics Committee Reviewer, Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse, a multi-disciplinary team, funded by the Home Office, and hosted by Barnardo’s.

onEvidence means that I can extend my training to a wider audience online and, at the same time, offer other academics and professionals the opportunity to get involved. Establishing evidence based training to inform policy and improve front-line practice is my way of helping to make the world a safer place.

If you would like to talk about any of the training courses or consultancy services we offer, it would be great to hear from you.
